Wow you’re not alone. I had no idea squirtle was part squirrel. I thought the squi was because he “squirts” water?
It’s definitely because he squirts water. I just think it’s coincidental that he has a squirrel tail and “Squi” in his name. I’m honestly shocked I never grasped on to this.
